Description:
God has promised us a double portion as we set our face like flint on Jesus and deepen our relationship with Him. Like Elisha, who desired and gained a double portion of Elijah’s spirit, we must persevere and grow in our intimacy with Him to receive all that is ours as heirs of His Kingdom. Let no shame and stumbling in the past and no fear of the future keep you from anything less than His inheritance of a double portion.
“Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land and everlasting joy will be theirs” (Isaiah 61:7).
