Growing a new day

A New Day
Every mighty oak begins as a tiny acorn containing all the DNA of the full grown oak. Nothing more needs to be added to it at its inception to allow it to eventually mature into a giant, life-giving and reproducing tree.

Sadly, only one acorn in 10,000 will become a tree! Diseases, fire, insects, bad weather, and lack of water and nutrients can destroy the little acorn filled with so much promise.

The amazing thing is that just like the tiny acorn, we have been impregnated at our supernatural rebirth with the full DNA of God. We have been implanted with everything necessary for us to mature into life and love-giving sons and daughters of the life and loving-giving Creator of this universe.

Each moment of our lives is an invitation to walk and grow in a new day of revelation and understanding of who we have become through Him and in Him. And as we are rooted and grounded in Him, we can withstand the winds, storms, and potential devastation that come our way.

Rising up on the frontlines

Rise upOne of my favorite conferences is Women on the Frontlines begun over a decade ago by Michal Ann Goll. Michal Ann had such a passion to see women rise up and take their God-ordained positions and release compassion throughout the earth.

Two years ago, I was stirred to paint Rise Up during the conference in Nashville. I can't look at this painting without thinking of Michal Ann. Michal Ann graduated
to be with her Jesus in September 2008 but her passion for compassion and her joy in seeing women become who they are meant to become continues to be exuded in the conference.

Please join me this year in Nashville July 31-August 1 for Women on the Frontlines with James Goll, Heidi Baker, Patricia King and others. Regular conference registration is now sold out but there is overflow seating and live web streaming available.

A hint for unblocking your creativity

I enjoyed seeing many of you in Charleston for the Dream Extreme gathering where I conducted Releasing the Art and Creativity of Heaven seminar and workshop.

One of the hints I shared there for unblocking your creativity is a simple one that reaps immense rewards: carry a sketchbook/journal and make a sketch each day. Date it and resist the temptation to tear the page out, no matter how bad you think it is. Every once in a while, look back over the previous sketches and witness the improvement, not only in the sketches but the increase of your revelation.

I started this recently with pastels and have thoroughly enjoyed it after several years of doing only acrylic painting.  Get started today and have FUN with it!
