Creativity is from the heart of God, and He loves to release His joy to us in many creative forms. According to one artist, nothing makes us so joyful, generous, lively, bold, and compassionate as using our creative powers.
Because creativity is a portion of our inheritance, we all experience it daily in one form or another. But perhaps you are skeptical about your own peculiar brand of creativity, or even believe that you have no creativity.
Don't believe that lie. Discover your own expressions of artistry and pursue them. You will be surprised at the joy and pleasure you bring to yourself and to others.
I received an email from a young man who has attended several of my workshops. Each time he prays for a greater release of creativity. He is finding a new joy in it and making time for it. He said, "It really hit me and so I decided that I would be bold and see if I could put it into practice. I have had dreams where I see myself jumping and flying through the air and I believe it's me dancing and expressing myself artistically in that way." So as a result he's decided now to participate in a dance workshop.
During an amazing worship time recently, Holy Spirit seemed to land on a violin and the whole room erupted in uninhibted dance and song. It was as if Jesus himself was in our midst playing the fiddle with sheer delight. One instrument was able to release an incredible surge of joy to the delight and blessing of many.
The joy of the Lord and creativity are your portion. As you are "faithful in the little" and take that first step toward what God has already put on your heart to do, you will be amazed at the life that will come from it. You will be filled with joy and it will flow through you to others like rivers of living water.

I am very excited to be participating in Expression Florida in Tallahassee October 31 - November 2. This is a gathering of artists and professionals seeking to display the attributes and character of God through various artistic expressions, extending into the community in a variety of artistic and professional fields. it is also the desire of Expression Florida to serve as a launching pad for artists and the creativity flowing through them.
